KS1 Visits Tesco
Children in Year 1 and 2 are studying the 'Great Fire of London', which started in 1666 at a bakery in Pudding Lane. They were thrilled to have been given the opportunity to visit the bakery at Tesco. They learned about food safety and hygiene and also the running of a supermarket and what it involves. They had the opportunity to assist the bread making, see where it is baked, how it is depatched and were also able to sample different types of bread.
The trip was extremely informative and very enjoyable for the children. Tesco were very hospitable and gave an educational experience to all four classes in KS1.
