Anti Bullying Ambassadors
At Elm Academy we do not tolerate bullying. To try and support any pupil who feels they may be being bullied, there are 8 Anti-bullying Ambassadors (from Years 4-6). The aim of the Anti-bullying Ambassador programme is to build up a team of children who are trained to have an awareness of bullying issues and can help their peers to overcome possible problems. Miss Tyers is the Anti-bullying Champion and works with our Anti-bullying Ambassadors to promote their work across the whole school.
We are engaging young people, parents and teachers to change the attitudes, behaviour and culture of bullying by building skills and confidence to address different situations, both online and offline.
Anti-Bullying Well-being Badge
We are delighted to announce that Elm Academy has received the Well-being Badge/Award from The Diana Award. The Diana Award is a charity which trains our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors across the UK. They have praised our Ambassadors on their work to promote Anti-Bullying across our community as well as providing support for pupils experiencing bullying. Activities included hosting Anti-Bullying Week, putting different things in place across the school to support well-being and providing assemblies on all up-to-date information regarding what to do if bullying is seen or experienced by the pupils at Elm.
Anti-Bullying Week
Anti-Bullying week helps our school shine a spotlight on bullying and encourages all children, teachers and carers to take action against bullying.
The theme this year is 'choose respect' and to celebrate we had a different theme each day.
Odd sock day - to celebrate us all being different and remind us that it is good to stand out.
Crazy hair day - to show that difference can be fun!

Wear red- to show that we can put a stop to bullying
