Safeguarding Documents
Elm Academy is committed to safeguarding children and promoting children’s welfare. It expects all staff, governors, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment and maintain a vigilant and safe environment. It is our willingness to work in a safe manner and challenge inappropriate behaviour that underpins this commitment.

Operation Encompass
Elm Academy is part of Operation Encompass. This is a police and education early intervention safeguarding partnership which supports children and young people who experience Domestic Abuse.
Operation Encompass means that the police will share information about Domestic Abuse incidents with our school soon after they have been called to a domestic incident.
In school we have allocated key adults who are able to see this information, this is either the Head teacher or a member of the Inclusion Team. Information will be kept confidential and only shared where appropriate.
