The School Day
Gates open: 8:40 (registers taken by 8:45)
Break: 10:30-10:45
Lunch: Between 11:45 – 13:00 (year group dependant)
Home Time: 15:15
Total Hours per week: 32.5 hours
Across the school, Early Years pupils will be welcomed with a range of morning activities whilst Years 1-6 will all have a vocabulary/spelling activity to complete. Throughout the morning pupils will learn Phonics (Years R-2), Whole Class Reading (Years 2-6), Writing and then Maths.
In the afternoon pupils with broaden their curriculum knowledge by learning a range of skills from the following subjects:
- Science
- History
- Geography
- Art
- Design Technology (DT)
- Physical Education (PE)
- Religious Education (RE)
- Computing
- Physical, Social, Health & Economic (PSHE) & Relationship and Sex Education (RSE)
- Modern Foreign Languages (MfL)
- Music
Assemblies:
Pupils will attend a weekly Celebration Assembly, Key Stage Assembly and Year Group Assembly, covering a wide range of topics linked to events happening that week. These include: Black History Month, World Book Day, NSPCC, sporting events and Safer Internet Day.
